This video, filmed by a man living in Tokyo, chronicles his daughter's growth over a period of more than 10 years.


"My dad isn't my real dad.
Before I started junior high, my mom remarried,
and then he became my dad.
When I was writing this essay for homework, I asked my dad about my treasure.
He replied, 'My treasure is Ruka.'
But more than my real dad, I love my dad."

This is a speech Ruka gave at her junior high school open house. The topic of the speech was "My Treasure." I was so happy I cried.

Ruka and I aren't technically related by blood. But we've been together since we were little. I've watched Ruka grow up very, very close. I love Ruka, and Ruka loves me, too. More than real family.

We take baths together every day, sleep in the same futon, and hug and kiss each other. I think the first time we had sex was in the ●th grade. I know what feels good to Ruka, and Ruka knows it too.

My sperm hasn't flowed into Ruka's body.
That's why, even if it's later, I have to give Ruka lots of my sperm.

I think that's my role as a daddy.
